METRO CONTINUES TO SEARCH FOR SEXUAL ASSAULT SUSPECT CRIMESTOPPERS JOINS EFFORT

METRO police continue searching for the suspect who sexually assaulted a female bus operator early Sunday morning.

The attack occurred in southwest Houston at Rio Bonito and Tres Lagunas.  The bus operator said the patron boarded her bus at Bellaire and Hillcroft and refused to get off the bus when it reached the end of the line. The suspect then put a gun to her head, dragged her to the back of the bus and, at gunpoint, raped and robbed her.

When the attacker left the bus, the operator pressed the panic button and drove herself to METRO’s West Facility where police met her and EMS transported her to Memorial Hermann Southwest where she was treated and released.

The victim has described her attacker as a thin, black male with a dark complexion and long hair, 20-25 years old, 5’8” to 5’10”.  A composite sketch of the suspect was released yesterday.
