METRO HOSTS LUNCHTIME WEB CHAT ON LIGHT RAIL
July 16, 2008
This month’s topic for Transit Chat will be on the construction of METRO’s new five light-rail lines.
The public can chat live this Thursday, July 17 between 12 and 1 p.m. or pre-submit their questions on METRO’s blog in the comment section of the Web Chat post.
METRO’s Senior Vice President of Engineering and Construction Bryan Pennington will be on hand to answer questions. Pennington supervises all engineering and construction aspects of the light-rail corridors. He’s from England and has 30 years experience planning and designing rapid bus and rail lines.
Questions like how construction will impact your neighborhood or who to call if a bulldozer is sitting in your front yard for two weeks will be answered. Or, maybe you have questions about the environmental impact statement submitted to the Federal Transit Administration.
Join in the conversation by logging on to www.ridemetro.org and click on the chat graphic on our home page. All questions will be moderated.
